Overview F.A.Q.s Full Details Technical Requirements Integrate Radar and Laser Reviews Accessories

You can use the GPSmirror on its own as a stand-alone camera detector. However, the GPSmirror is the first camera detector in the world which can be wirelessly integrated with many leading radar and laser systems. Now you can leave your detector set on maximum sensitivity (i.e. longest range) and use features in the mirror to filter out what you don't want to hear.

To integrate your own radar detector, you need a Radar Detector Interface for the GPSmirror. The Radar Detector Interface comes with everything you need to display your radar detector alerts wirelessly through the GPSmirror.

To integreate your own laser jammer, you need a Laser Jammer Interface for the GPSmirror. The Laser Jammer Interface comes with everything you need to display your laser jammer alerts wirelessly though the GPSmirror, including a keyfob operated remote control switch to switch the jammer on and off.

Example: If you want to integrate your Valentine One radar detector and Blinder laser jammer, you simply need a Radar Detector Interface for the GPSmirror and a Laser Jammer Interface for the GPSmirror. It's that simple. Both the Valentine One and Blinder will operate at the same time and warnings are instantly displayed by the GPSmirror. Plus you can switch the Blinder on and off via remote control.

FAST - A quiet revolution!

False Alarm Suppression Technology for radar detectors (F.A.S.T.)

The No. 1 complaint of radar detector owners is false alarms. Detectors will always pick up signals other than police radar. Those little motion sensors above automatic doors are the main culprits because they send out the same type of radar as a speed trap. In urban settings a radar detector can go off so often that you tend to ignore the alarms — until those flashing lights fill the rearview mirror.

Having the GPSmirror, however, makes using a detector in town a quieter and much less stressful experience. The Alert Speed feature in the mirror's menu allows you to set your chosen "Alert Speed" e.g. 35mph. Then any detector alerts that are being relayed through the mirror are automatically muted whenever you are driving below your programmed threshold. Go faster than 35mph and you hear the alerts again. It's an incredibly effective and risk free way of cutting out those annoying false alarms in town.

It's so simple it's revolutionary, and what's more...you get to keep using the detector that you know, trust and love!

Radar Datalinking - invented by Cheetah!

False Alarm Suppression is made possible by a breakthrough technology invented by Cheetah. Our Radar Detector Interface contains a unique transmitter which you plug into your own radar detector. During an alert, our transmitter listens to and analyses the audio alerts coming from your detector and instantly translates them into wireless signals that are sent to the mirror. It's the GPSmirror that gives you the voice and audio tone alerts for radar, instead of your detector.

Voice alerts and audio tones
Voice announcements from the mirror tell you the band that is being picked up by your radar detector and seperate alert tones from the mirror convey the signal strength.

Independent Band Control
The menu system in the mirror lets you switch individual radar bands on or off, so you can disable any unwanted radar bands from the mirror if they are not used in your area.

City Mute
In its city mute mode, the GPSmirror only plays voice alerts for radar alerts and the alert tones that normally follow are disabled.

City Mute ON = Voice alerts only
City Mute OFF = Voice & tone alerts

Compatible Radar Detectors

What detectors does the Radar Detector Interface work with?
The detectors shown above are currently compatible with our Radar Detector Interface (RDI). Other detectors will be added soon. You must specify the make and model of detector when ordering your RDI because software cards are unique to each model of detector and are not transferable.

What do I need to do to my detector to link it up with the mirror?
When you purchase our RDI, all you have to do is plug our interface into the power socket and headphone socket of your detector, then plug your detector's original power cord into our RDI. That's it.

Does it affect my detector?
No, not in any way. Your detector will perform exactly as it did before and because our interface does not disable your detector's screen you can still see what it is doing, if you want to.

What if I change my detector?
Our RDI has been designed to be future proof, so no matter what changes happen to radar detectors over the coming years, your GPSmirror will be able to adapt. Our Radar Detector Interface uses a unique software card for each make and model of detector, so when you upgrade your detector, all you have to do is buy a new software card.

Laser Datalinking

If you're going to do something you might as well go all the way!

The Cheetah GPSmirror is also the only GPS detector in the world which can relay wireless alerts from all the best laser defence systems on the market.

If you want to intergrate your laser system with the GPSmirror, you need to purchase a Laser Jammer Interface to plug into your jammer system. The Laser Jammer Interface comes with everything you need, including a keyfob operated remote control switch to switch the jammer on and off.
